Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with India

On the High Instructions of His Majesty the King and at the invitation of the Indian Minister of Defence, Nirmala Sitharaman, the Delegate Minister in charge of Administration and National Defence, Abdeltif Loudyi, undertook a working visit to India leading a significant delegation. During a meeting held at the Indian Ministry of Defence, Abdeltif Loudyi and Mrs. Sitharaman exchanged views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of national defence, particularly in terms of training, maritime security, and defence industry.

On this occasion, a memorandum was signed between the Moroccan and Indian parties defining a general framework for cooperation in the field of cybersecurity between, on the one hand, the Moroccan Centre for Monitoring, Detection, and Response to Cyber Attacks (maCERT) under the administration of the National Defence, and, on the other hand, its Indian counterpart. The projected cooperation includes, among other aspects, the exchange of expertise in cybersecurity technologies, the sharing of best practices, and training.
