Morocco and France have signed a protocol agreement on cybersecurity

Morocco and France have concluded, in Rabat, a protocol agreement on cybersecurity aimed at strengthening the skills of national authorities in information systems security.

This protocol agreement, signed by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, Mr. Abdeltif Loudyi, and the Secretary General of Defense and National Security of the French Republic, Mr. Francis Delon, is part of strengthening the deep friendship ties between Morocco and France, according to a statement from the National Defense Administration.

It aims, in particular, at the long-term development of cooperation in the field of cybersecurity between the two parties, as well as enhancing the skills of national authorities in information systems security through exchanges of experiences, information, and expertise.

This protocol will also contribute to the development of capacities of the General Directorate of Information Systems Security of the State, under the National Defense Administration, and its critical infrastructures.

The implementation of this protocol will be based on annual action plans concluded between the General Directorate of Information Systems Security and the French Agency for Information Systems Security, the statement emphasizes.

On this occasion, Moroccan and French officials expressed their satisfaction with the dynamism of bilateral cooperation, reflecting the diversity and depth of relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, based on mutual respect, age-old friendship, and shared trust, the statement concludes.
