LAUNCH OF A NATIONAL CYBER RISK ASSESSMENT PROJECT (NCRA)

As part of its 2021 action plan and in order to update the 2012 national cybersecurity strategy, the General Directorate of Information Systems Security (DGSSI) is launching a study to assess national cyber risks in accordance with the National Cyber Risk Assessment (NCRA) methodology.

This study is conducted in cooperation with the United Kingdom government and is based on an interactive self-assessment questionnaire. This questionnaire relies on a declarative approach and allows evaluation of sensitivity and criticality of information systems belonging to sectors considered strategic for State, and subsequently identifies risks and threats to these systems.

Over the past 3 years, this study has been successfully used in several countries and organizations across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. It serves as a crucial step for developing cyber strategies, implementing cyber capacity-building projects, and monitoring progress in risk mitigation

To mark the launch of this study, DGSSI is organizing a webinar on September 7, 2021, dedicated to presenting NCRA project, the related questionnaire, and expected outcomes of the study. This webinar will include representatives from organizations operating in various strategically important sectors: Government, public security, energy, finance, industry, health, transport, telecom, and more.
