General Directorate of Information Systems Security (DGSSI)

THE GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY (DGSSI) WAS CREATED BY DECREE N° 2-11-509 ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2011. IT IS ATTACHED TO THE NATIONAL DEFENSE ADMINISTRATION OF THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO.

Organization of the General Directorate
of Information Systems Security:

The General Directorate of Information Systems Security is composed of four (04) directorates:

DIRECTORATE OF MANAGEMENT OF THE CENTER FOR MONITORING, DETECTION, AND RESPONSE TO CYBER ATTACKS (maCERT)

This directorate is responsible for the implementation, in collaboration with other administrations, of monitoring, detection, and alert systems for events likely to affect the security of State information systems, as well as the coordination of the response to these events.

DIRECTORATE OF STRATEGY
AND REGULATION

This directorate is responsible for proposing draft laws and regulations related to information systems security, processing files related to declarations and authorizations of regulated products, and certifying electronic signature creation and verification devices.

DIRECTORATE OF ASSISTANCE, TRAINING, CONTROL, AND EXPERTISE

This directorate is responsible for proposing recommendations, technical standards and methods to enhance the security level. It conducts also information systems audit of administrations and public bodies.

DIRECTORATE OF SECURE INFORMATION SYSTEMS

This directorate is responsible for developing required tools to implement secure systems for administrations and public bodies.
