The General Directorate of Information Systems Security (DGSSI) organized on 22 October 2024, an executive workshop on «issues and perspectives related to the security of industrial systems and operational technologies (OT) ».
This workshop, animated by the heads of DGSSI and a recognized expert in the field of cybersecurity OT, brought together 140 participants, including Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), as well as key actors in the industrial sectors and critical infrastructures.
The aim of this executive workshop was to raise awareness and inform different critical infrastructure executives about specific challenges related to protection against emerging cyber threats.
The session was structured around the following themes:
Threats and challenges in OT security, with a focus on attacks with increasing physical consequences and the latest ransomware trends.
Current OT security practices, through an analysis of international standards such as NIST CSF and IEC 62443.
New methodologies and approaches for securing critical infrastructures, such as Cyber-Informed Engineering (CIE) and strategies based on network segmentation and In-depth defense.
The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion, which gave participants the opportunity to interact directly with experts and to deepen some of the topics discussed during the day.
